Account Manager – Corporate Charter

flybmi is regarded as one of the leading suppliers of Charter capacity within the 50-seat market and is seeking an Account Manager – Corporate Charter, to support its increasing Corporate Charter Operations.

This is an exciting new role to our business and reports to the Head of Charter, whilst also working closely with the Head of Ground Services to align and enhance the performance of suppliers to ensure 100% satisfaction of our end clients.

In this role, you will serve as the face and voice of our company, build brand recognition, and successfully promote our services. You will communicate and engage with customers, both online and offline, in meaningful ways to increase our company's brand awareness and add generate new sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Commercial and Airport Services teams to ensure BMI delivers an elite charter service aligned with the client’s expectations.
  • Become the point of contact for all queries in relation to the corporate charter operation, engaging the appropriate partners internally and externally to make informed decisions.
  • Inspire and motivate third party suppliers to ensure customers receive a consistently great experience ensuring flights and customers get to their destinations with bags, on time, every time.
  • Provide operational management and oversight at charter airports as and when necessary to ensure that service levels set by you in agreement with the client are achieved.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships, gaining trust with suppliers, brokers, end clients and border agencies to act positively upon all commercial opportunities for the business.
  • Make recommendations for improvements and enhancements to the flight programme to support the specific needs of the charter operation.
  • Assess the client’s check-in requirements and engage appropriate support from suppliers and authorities (border security, handling agents and airports) ensuring integration with any baggage systems where required.
  • Ensure all relevant airports, handling agents, and suppliers are kept fully up to date with changes to the operational schedule including updating the company’s internal AIMS system.
  • Ensure that all requested changes to the operational schedule are pre-cleared with the Crewing and Rostering teams to ensure that flights can be crewed efficiently and hi-light any additional cost that may arise due to changes required in crew positioning/night-stops.
  • Produce monthly reconciliations of sectors operated, de-icing services used and calculate invoices due then pass these to the Finance department for invoicing.
  • Produce weekly and monthly statistics in partnership with our broker client detailing a range of pre-determined results and measures expected by the end client.
  • Produce pre-agreed reports for the end client to use internally at Board meetings, to support financial accountability for re-charge of any appropriate additional services agreed as part of the contract.
  • Arrange and attend monthly meetings at all out-stations with all relevant parties to discuss ongoing issues or table improvements.
  • Collate all customer manifests and ensure these are uploaded in accordance with local and government border requirements, adhering to any applicable data security regulations.
  • Collate and produce dedicated Flight Briefs to be used by Operations and Operational crew as a point of reference to achieve client’s expectations.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the Procurement Manager if contracts are required.
  • Support the Charter Department with day to day operations as and when necessary.

Plus possess some additional skills that although not essential would be ideal:

  • Intermediate French language skills.
  • Previous Airport handling and/or airside despatch experience.
  • Previous service industry experience.

Location:

Castle Donington Business Park, near East Midlands Airport.

This opportunity is based at our Head Office in East Midlands. Given the nature of the role and our flight network, there will be some travel involved which will include some over-night stays [approx. 2 nights per month], to attend meetings and events.

Hours of Work:

Full time [37.5 hrs per week].

Working week – normally Monday to Friday.

Flexibility will be required due to the timings that the flights in these contracts operate. You will receive calls early morning and early evening on occasions where your guidance will be required.
