How far in advance of my flight can I check-in online?

Online check-in is available 48 hours prior to departure for Classic and ClassicPlus customers.

Executive customers may check-in 72 hours prior to departure.

Online checkiin closes 3 hours before departure.

How do I check-in online for my flight?

Ensure you are within the online check-in window of 48 hours up until 3 hours before your flight departs.

Retrieve your booking by entering your booking reference, Last Name / Surname and your origin city and destination.

Click the ‘Check-in Online’ button, where your flight details are listed then print and take your Boarding Pass with you to the airport.

Where applicable, you can have your boarding card sent to your mobile phone.

If you have no baggage you can go straight through airport security and direct to your gate. If you are flying with baggage, check-in your bags at the flybmi check-in desk at least 30 minutes before your flight departures. If your flight is flying from Frankfurt or Munich, drop your bags at the Lufthansa counter – check the airport monitors for details.

Can an unaccompanied minor be checked in online for a flight?

You cannot use online check-in for unaccompanied minors. There is substantial paperwork associated with unaccompanied minors which needs to be filled in at the airport with the guardian or parent in person.

Once you have checked in online and seats have been allocated, you will not be able to change the seats of your party. Please see a check-in agent at the airport who will do their best to seat your party together.

Do I need to provide APIS?

If you wish to check-in for your flight online then you will be required to submit your APIS (Advanced Passport information) as part of the online check-in process.

If you choose to check-in at the airport then APIS (Advanced Passport information) is only required for International flights. APIS is not required for UK Domestic flights.

If Online Check-in does not open 48 hours prior to departure, please try again. If the problem persists, please call the customer contact centre. Please ensure that the route you are travelling on is eligible for on-line check-in.

UPDATING CHROME

Google Chrome will update automatically as new iterations are released to the public. To verify that your version of Chrome is the latest or to update manually, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Chrome browser.
  2. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
  3. From the drop-down menu that appears, select Help, then select About Google Chrome.

UPDATING INTERNET EXPLORER

Internet Explorer is now outdated and soon to be an unsupported browser. Microsoft Edge, which replaces Internet Explorer in Windows 10 will be kept up to date automatically. However, other browsers are recommended.

The Microsoft Edge browser is tied to Windows 10 and consequently, so are its updates. To update the Edge browser, you need to update Windows with the steps below.

  1. Press the Windows Key, type Check for updates, and then press Enter.
  2. Under the Update status section, select Check for updates.

Opera should update itself automatically. However, if you would like to check the version or update manually, follow these steps:
