Aberdeen (Dyce) – (airport code ABZ)

Location

The airport is situated seven miles (11km) northwest of Aberdeen.

Transfer city

Aberdeen and Inverness train services run from the local station at Dyce, which is just a short taxi ride from the airport. The main line station is in Aberdeen city centre where there are frequent services to all parts of Scotland and England. Regular bus services operate from the airport to Aberdeen city centre for appriximately £1.50-1.70, and takes roughly 30 minutes. Services are less frequent at weekends than on weekdays.

Car hire companies represented at the airport include Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National/Alamo. Other off-airport operators can be contacted via the airport information desk. Hired cars can be collected on Broomfield Road, and dropped off at Car Rental Ready and Return.

Airport facilities

Facilities include left luggage, a bureau de change, bars, a duty free shop, business facilities, play area and several restaurants. There are no smoking facilities in the airport. The Servisair Executive Lounge is located on the first floor past security and can be prebooked online. There are several internet cafes around the airport both before and after security, and wi-fi services operated by Boingo.

Car parking

There is short-term parking at Aberdeen Airport within walking distance of the terminal, ranging from £1 for 15 minutes to £8.40 for four hours. Long-term parking at Aberdeen Airport can be accessed by a free shuttle from the terminal; it costs £9 per day and there is a two-day minimum stay.

Transfer to the city from the airport

By taxi / car: 20 minutes to the centre.

By public transport: 30 minutes to the centre. Bus between the airport and Belp station every 15 minutes,

buses will wait for delayed flights. Between Belp station and Bern station there are trains (S-Bahn Bern)

several per hour.

Facilities include left luggage, a kiosk and bistro, a duty free shop, meeting and conferences rooms, General

Aviation Center, children play area at the gate and a cash dispenser. The whole airport is a non smoking

airport and free wi-fi services at the terminal.

There are short- and long-term parking facilities available at Bern Airport. One week of parking costs about

CHF 50. During the summer, you can book parking is online on the Bern Airport website.

Transfer to the city

Travellers and visitors can easily use both taxis as well as public  transportation. The No. 6 tram travels straight from the City Airport Bremen to the main railway station in Bremen and to the central bus station (ZOB). The journey takes only a few minutes.

Car rental

There is a new car rental centre located in Terminal 3. Car rental companies at Bremen airport include Avis, Europcar, Enterprise, Hertz and Sixt.

Airport facilities include ATMs and bureau de change, a duty-free shop, cafes/restaurants, religious rooms, train information and reservation, travel agencies, and luggage lockers in P1. Disabled facilities are available.  Passengers with special needs should contact their airline in advance or the airport at least 48 hours before departure.

4500 parking lots for short- and long-term parking are available. Prices can be pre-calculated via the airport website.

Bristol (airport code BRS)

Transfer city

Bristol International Flyer buses operate between 2.30am and 11.45pm and travel regularly to Bristol city centre and the Bristol Temple Meads railway station, taking 30 minutes and costing around £5. Taxis are available outside the terminal.

Airport facilities

Facilities at Bristol Airport include a bureau de change, ATM, bars, restaurants, shops, executive lounge and tourist information desk. Disabled facilities are good; those with special needs are advised to contact their airline in advance.

Lounge Information

The new Servisair “Aspire Lounge” is open for business. The new lounge is larger, quieter and offers customers hot and cold food options. There will also be dedicated quieter areas where customers can work and also some seating areas where phone chargers are available within the seats.

Check-in Information

Bristol Airport whas installed an SSK in front of the bmi regional check-in desks and can be used by passengers.
This will ensure that those passengers who turn up early with hand baggage only will be able to check-in straight away and not have to wait for the desks to open. Any passengers who use the machines and would normally qualify for Fast Track and/or Lounge Entry can collect their Fast Track sticker/Lounge Invitation from the ticket desk. The lounge staff will also have access to the check-in systems and will be able to check the passenger lists should anyone go through security without a Lounge Invite.

Remember to buy your tickets in vending machine in Brno arrival terminal, at the newsagent’s in departure terminal (Airport Shop).  You can also buy contactless cards on the bus, or pay the driver in CZK or EUR. Brussels (airport code BRU)

The airport is located eight miles (13km) northeast of the city centre.

Transfer city

The train station is located on the lower level (1st Floor). There is a train shuttle service from the airport to the North, South and Central stations of Brussels. The shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes. It operates between 5.30am and 12.20am from the airport and costs EUR2.60. A bus station is below the Arrivals hall. The #12 bus on weekdays before 8pm and the #21 at all other times takes passengers to the European Quarter of the city and costs EUR3. There are also buses that serve Brussels Airport to Antwerp;. An airport bus link also operates between the Brussels railway lines and the airport (Tel. +32 70 22 02 00). There are licensed metered taxis available outside the Arrivals hall; the 30-minute journey to Brussels costs around EUR35 (Tel: +32 2 752 98 00).

Airport facilities include ATMs and bureau de change, a post office, duty-free shops, cafes/restaurants, a beauty shop, a Communications Centre with Internet access, religious services, train information and reservation, travel agency, and luggage lockers. There is also a mobile phone rental office and Wireless LAN hotspot service.

Car parking

The Express Parking Lot is immediately across from the terminal building. The charge is EUR5 per hour, and you’re limited to three hours. The short-term P1 and P2 Lots charge EUR4 and EUR3.50 per hour respectively. The Economy Lot is good for long-term parking (up to a week), costing EUR16 per day.

Location

The airport is situated 11 miles (18km) from Derby. It is in easy reach of Nottingham, Leicester and Derby by road and public transport.

Transfer city

Visitors heading for Nottingham can use the direct Nottingham Skylink bus service, which runs half-hourly around the clock between the airport and Nottingham Railway Station. Taxis are freely available, the fare to Nottingham being £26. Journey time to central Nottingham is about half an hour.

Car hire desks in the arrivals hall are available for Enterprise, Europcar, National and Hertz car rental.

The airport has a Travelex outlet for foreign exchange and a range of shops, including newsagent, chemist, souvenir shop and duty free outlets. There are several restaurants and fast-food eateries in the terminal building. There are public telephones, Internet kiosks and Wi-Fi hotspots available. The airport also has an executive lounge.

Car parking

Short-term parking at Nottingham East Midlands Airport is £2 for half an hour, £3 for an hour, and £6.20 for two hours. Long-term parking is £25 for up to two days and £6.80 per day thereafter. Shuttle buses operate between the car parks and the terminal.

Transfer city

Frankfurt Airport has trains from two railway stations; the long-distance railway station is at the AIRail Terminal, and there is a local railway station for S-Bahn, regional and local trains at Terminal 1, Level 1. Both railway stations are linked to Terminal 2 via buses and the Sky Line. Buses leave regularly for Frankfurt and other destinations from outside Terminals 1 and 2, tickets can be bought from the bus driver. Airline shuttles, including Lufthansa Airport Shuttle and Hahn Airport shuttle, depart from Terminal 1 outside Arrival Hall B. Taxis are available outside both terminals, the journey to central Frankfurt takes 20-30 minutes. Car hire companies are represented in both terminals.

Frankfurt Airport is one of the best-equipped airports in the world; it even offers a casino. There are numerous restaurants, shops, bars and cafes in both terminals, and banks, bureaux de change and ATMs are in both Arrivals and Departures. A business centre offers Internet, fax and secretarial facilities. Other facilities include a hairdresser, chapel and children’s play areas. Disabled facilities are good; travellers with special needs should ideally contact their airline in advance.

Car parking

Each terminal at Frankfurt International Airport has its own parking facility; 30 minutes costs EUR2.50, and charges are EUR4 per hour thereafter. Long-term parking is EUR25 per day, however the Holiday Parking lot starts at EUR23.50 per day and EUR64 per week and is connected to the terminals by a free shuttle services.

How to transfer to the city from the airport

Visitors heading for Munich can use the rapid transit rail services. The station is located in the München Airport Centre. At peak times, departures to and from the airport on rapid transit rail lines S1 and S8 alternate every ten minutes. The journey time between the airport and Munich’s Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) is 40 minutes.
Travellers can connect to regional and national mainline rail services at Munich’s Central Station, Pasing and Munich East (Ostbahnhof).

The Lufthansa Airport Bus runs between the airport and the Munich Central Station (one stop in Munich North/ Nordfriedhof). Bus stops are located in front of the München Airport Centre (level 03), at Terminal 1 areas A and D (street level), and Terminal 2’s north curbside (level 04). The buses depart at convenient 20-minute intervals from the terminals.

Besides the standard airport facilities, Munich Airport offers a traditional Bavarian brewery, pharmacies in both terminals, a huge Medical Centre, meet & assist services, cash dispensers in both terminals, a travel market, church services, prayer rooms, VIP services, child-minding service (free for the first hour) and sleeping cabins (called Napcabs) as well as a free Recreation Area located between the gates H32 and H33 at Level 05 of Terminal 2. Other amenities are two hotels, Kempinski Airport Hotel and Novotel München Airport, the conference center municon, free internet points and free WIFI. The innovative InfoGates help passengers to get their bearings more quickly by offering real time dialogue with Airport representatives.

Facilities for disabled customers include wheelchairs, elevators and mobility assistance.

Munich Airport offers many parking facilities; the best short-time parking options for visitors to the München Airport Center (MAC) and Terminal 1 are the underground car parks P1-4, P9 and also P10.

The P5, P7 and P8 underground car parks are suitable for long-term parking (eight days or more). The best option for visitors and guests of the Kempinski Hotel is the P26 underground car park.

Lounge information

The two airport lounges – the Atlantic and the Europe lounge- are both located in Terminal 1. These so-called “common user lounges” are available for all passengers. The charge for Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Eurocard holders amounts to 29,75 Euros.

Check in information

bmi regional flights from Munich Airport depart from Terminal 1 until 27 March 2015. From Sunday 29 March 2015 all bmi regional flights will depart and arrive from Terminal 2.
Check-in at Munich Airport from 29 March can be done by the following options:
– Self service check in at the airport (machines)
– Desk check in*
Please note that online check in is currently not available for bmi regional flights departing from Munich.
Unaccompanied minors must be escorted to the departure gate by their family escort and remain with the minor until the flight departs.

Transfer city

National Express East Anglia run rail services to Norwich city from London, and the Norwich rail station is located in the city centre. First Eastern Counties Buses offer a service on bus 27 to the airport from the city centre on Sundays and public holidays. The bus goes to Hellesdon during the week, which is within walking distance of the airport. There are also taxi and car rental services available.

There is a cafés and restaurant/bar at the airport, as well as an Eclipse Duty Free outlet and a Skylines store. There is wireless internet access throughout the airport, and Internet desks in the departure lounge. There are also foreign exchange facilities and an executive lounge at the airport.

Short-term parking is free for 10 minutes, and then costs £1 for 30 minutes and £3 for each subsequent hour up to £20 per day. Long-term parking is £25 for one day, £28 for two days, £30 for three days, and £5 per additional day.

Transfer to the city

As the gateway to the rest of the country and the world, Oslo Airport has very good connections to and from the airport.

There are several different public transport you can take advantage of, as well as car and taxi. It should be easy for you to get to and from the airport in the way that suits you best.

The Airport Express Train (Flytoget)

The Airport Express Train runs between Drammen, Asker, Sandvika, Lysaker, Skøyen, the National Theater, Oslo Central Station and Lillestrøm. This is the fastest connection between the airport and the city center of Oslo; only 19 minutes travel time. NSB – Norwegian State Railways

All NSB Regional Trains that run between Skien, Oslo, Lillehammer and Trondheim stop at Oslo Airport. NSB Local Trains on the Kongsberg–Eidsvoll line also stop at the Airport. The NSB website will have  information about fares and timetables.

Airport Express Coach (SAS Flybussen)

The Airport Express Coach runs between Oslo city centre and Oslo Airport every 20 minutes every day. See the Oslo Flybussen website for information about fares and timetables.

Taxi

If you want to take a taxi from the Airport, we recommend you go to the taxi information desk in the Arrivals Hall. The taxi information desk has information about the different companies’ fixed rates to different destinations in Norway. They can also book a taxi for you. The taxi rank is immediately outside the Arrivals Hall. You can usually find a taxi from most taxi companies there.

Car parking

At Oslo Airport there is a total of 18 200 parking spaces. These are located in two parking garages and six outdoor parking areas.

The outdoor spaces are signposted P1 to P6. P1 is within walking distance of the terminal. There is a free shuttle bus from the other parking areas that departs continuous all day.

Short-term parking: If you are picking up or dropping off passengers, you may use the short-term parking spaces at the arrival or departure levels. The price is NOK 68 per hour. NOK 410 for 24 hours.

Lounge Information

The OSL-Lounge – This lounge is perfect for travelers who wish to relax, read a newspaper or enjoy food and drinks in peaceful surroundings. The lounge offer access to meeting rooms, PC-rooms and wireless internet, and is open to all passenger for a fee of 250 NOK.

Transfer to the city

Getting to Paris from Charles de Gaulle Airport is simple with trains, RATP buses and taxis all operating from Paris CDG. It takes around 45 minutes to get from the airport to the centre of Paris. The SNCF main line station is located at the airport, providing excellent transport links into the city and surrounding areas.
