Q What is bmi online check-in?
A bmi online check-in enables your passengers to check-in at home, at the office or anywhere they can access the internet. It is available on the majority of bmi routes (excluding longhaul).
Q Can my customers print their own boarding pass?
A Passengers can print their boarding pass at home and if they don't have any bags to check-in you can go straight to security on arrival at the airport.
The online boarding pass must be printed on A4 white paper and will include a 2D barcode, which will be scanned by airport security staff.
Q I've checked my customer in online, but I cannot print their boarding pass?
Your customer can print their boarding pass at the bmi web points available at London Heathrow, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Alternatively, they shoudld go to the premium economy check-in desk at the airport.
Q Can my customerchange their seat?
A Your customer can change their seat when travelling on a business, premium economy or economy fare. When travelling on a tiny fare they will be allocated a seat, that cannot be changed.
Q My customers have hold luggage, can they still check-in online?
A Yes, with one exception, see below*. On arrival at the airport, they shoudld present their bmi online check-in boarding pass at the bmi bag drop, along with the bags to be checked in. Once the bags are checked-in they can proceed to the security area with their online boarding pass.
*Online check-in is available for passengers travelling from Dublin to Heathrow carrying hand baggage only and presenting an acceptable form of ID. Customers with luggage should check-in using the self Check-in Machines at the airport.
Q When can my customers use online check-in?
A Customers can check-in online from 24 hours prior to departure, up until one hour before departure.
Q Can my passengers check-in online if travelling with an infant?
A Unfortunately, they cannot check-in online as we need to allocate appropriate seating.
