eligibility
Travel agent rebates are only applicable to those staff working at locations trading with an IATA licence for at least one year. Partners and dependent children (up to 18 years) are also eligible but only if accompanied by the travel agent staff member.

Under the standard travel policy for agents, bmi offer two rebate types of agent discount (AD) travel concessions on bmi operated flights.

validity
Tickets have a maximum validity of 3 months from the date of issue, and all travel must be completed within 3 months of outbound travel. Reservations can be made at any time but must be made a minimum of 7 days prior to the date of travel to allow for postage of tickets.
commission
Rebate tickets are non-commissionable.
refunds
If travel does not take place and the ticket has already been issued, you may return your ticket, or e-ticket confirmation slip, marked for the attention of the refunds department to Donington Hall for refund processing. Please note tickets will be refunded at face value with a £10 administrative charge applied per ticket. Refunds are allowed via your BSP return in the normal way.
at the airport
Travel agents with rebate tickets must check-in at the bmi desk at least 2 hours prior to departure. Proof of identity will be required. Please note business cards are not acceptable. Please note that rebate travel is a privilege and we trust that travel agents appreciate our commercial passengers will always take priority. Confirmed travel is not always guaranteed. AD75 standby passengers will be considered for boarding in strict priority order once all full revenue passengers have been accepted. If your chosen flight is full, your coupon will be returned to you, and you can standby for the next available flight. In the unlikely event, you are asked to move from one class seat to another, we would appreciate your co-operation.
dress code
All passengers travelling on AD tickets, regardless of cabin, must wear smart dress (no t-shirts or trainers). Failure to comply with this may result in denied boarding.
general conditions
If travel trade rebate tickets are misused, the agent will be responsible for remitting to bmi the full applicable fare due as a consequence of the misuse. It is understood that use of rebate tickets by anyone other than the eligible agent is strictly prohibited. When obtaining rebate tickets, agents must always abide by IATA Resolution 880. Any deviation will result in bmi withdrawing reduced rate transportation privileges from the travel agency location. If reservations procedures or tickets are incorrectly used, bmi will debit the travel agent for the appropriate full fare and may withdraw future discount and/or ticketing facilities. Non valid reservations/tickets will be refused for travel at check-in. Not all cabins will be available on all routes, e.g. flights to and from Jersey offer a single cabin and as such the discount will be against the full Y class fare.
Diamond Club miles
Please note AD50 and AD75 tickets are not eligible for Diamond Club miles.
ticketing
If an AD50 is booked on an e-ticket route then an e-ticket should be issued. A paper ticket should only be issued on non e-ticket routes. There will be a £10 charge per ticket for paper tickets issued on an e-ticket route. A paper ticket will be issued for all AD75s and sent directly to you. Please allow a minimum of 7 working days when making your booking.
terminology
Whenever the bmi business cabin is referred to it denotes both the UK and European business class cabin and the transatlantic cabin, the business. When the economy cabin is referred to it denotes both the economy cabin on UK and European routes and the economy cabin on transatlantic routes. Transatlantic have an additional cabin premium economy.
