New codeshare with Aegean and Continental
bmi is pleased to announce new codeshare deals with Aegean Airline and Continental Airlines.
Effective 25 October, the agreement between bmi and Aegean Airlines offers passengers a direct service between London Heathrow and Athens International Airport (ATH), with onward connections soon to be available via a transfer in Athens; Thessaloniki (SKG), Heraklion (HER), Chania (CHQ) and Rhodes (RHO).
The codeshare agreement allows Aegean Airlines to offer six new onward connections via a transfer in London: Manchester, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin. All flights will carry both airlines' codes 'BD' and 'A3'.
The new agreement with Continental Airlines effective from 01 November enables bmi to offer fares to Houston (IAH) from London Heathrow and New York (EWR) from Heathrow plus Manchester, Birmingham International, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Brussels and improve connections between America and the wider bmi network.
The agreement also enables Continental Airlines, who became the 25th member to join Star Alliance on 1 November, to sell tickets for customers on bmi's services connecting through a number of destinations: Aberdeen, Almaty, Amman, Baku, Belfast City, Brussels, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hanover, Manchester, Yerevan.
