2. Deportee travelling with an escort (accompanied) DEPA

booking a deportee

A deportee booking must go through a process to check they conform with various conditions. There must only be one deportee per flight, the exceptions are if they have a child under 12 travelling with them. Children over 12 would need clearance to travel.

Have no connecting flights at LHR

Having no escort - these must be cleared by Security

ONLY after all conditions are met can we accept for travel and we must have all information prior to travel and we need to inform the departing and arriving airports, operations of these passengers travelling.

Deportee Travel Documents

Whether the passenger is in possession of a ticket to cover removal or not, the immigration authorities will have to retain the passenger(s) passport(s). This serves to reduce the risk of the passenger absconding in addition to inhibiting any unrestricted freedom to leave the country.  For acceptance of carriage, therefore, the Customer Services supervisor or responsible individual as the case may be, must clarify with immigration the location of these documents and agree suitable arrangements for collection.
