- Travel is permitted up to 30 weeks of term without certification
- Between 30 and 36 weeks certification from a doctor is required
- Carriage after 36 weeks is not normally permitted and mothers are not recommended to travel within 7 days of giving birth

- Babies may not be accepted for travel seven days after birth
- Premature and/or unhealthy babies may only be accepted for travel after Medical Clearance and with a qualified escort such as a doctor or state registered nurse
Certificate of Fitness to Fly
If there is doubt over a passenger’s fitness to fly, then a Certificate of Fitness to Fly should be obtained by them from their GP.
