major injuries and trauma
It is unlikely that we are able to carry passengers who have major injuries because we are unable to provide a flight stretcher. Any passenger with major injuries who could be carried on a normal seat will require a medical clearance.
fractures
A plaster of Paris splint must have been in place without problems for 48hrs before the flight or must be splint before embarkation.
If the patient has a full-length leg plaster – he will require 3 seats.
Each additional seat required must be charged at the appropriate adult fare (excl tax).
If the passenger is unable to move unassisted he cannot travel, as bmi are unable to provide a flight stretcher.
