CABIN CREW CANNOT GIVE ASSISTANCE

wheelchair passengers
Wheelchair passengers are classified in three different ways:
WCHR – PASSENGERS CAN ASCEND / DESCEND STEPS
WCHS – PASSENGERS CANNOT ASCEND / DESCEND STEPS
WCHC – PASSENGERS ARE COMPLETELY IMMOBILE
Passengers using a wheelchair can be accepted for travel on all bmi aircraft.
Please note that we can provide a lift-on facility for all passengers of 18.5 stones or below.
The maximum number if lift-ons we carry on any bmi scheduled service is 2. So we can have either 2 WCHC or 2 WCHS or 1 WCHC and 1 WCHS on any of our flights.
The number of WCHR on any Mainline services is not restricted at this time, on the Regional services (Embraer Operated Flights) the Maximum combination of WCHR/C/ S we will carry is 2. If no WCHC/S we can accept 3 WCHR on Regional.
The above procedure excludes long haul – no limit is currently in place.
Please offer your passengers alternative flights if wheelchairs cannot be confirmed.
