group claims

how to claim a group booking! 

Once bmi groups department have allocated names and issued a tour code to a booking agents can then claim the booking.

This is available to all Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan agents.

NB. The booking must have all names in it before the PNR can be claimed. Claims can only be made on e-ticket bookings.

When can I claim the booking?

There is must be a group name in the name field
Or a group name field with some or all of the individual names in the booking.

Once claimed this will enable you to:

  • issue tickets
  • add OSI/SSR remarks

Any schedule changes/SSR updates will be advised directly to you via your GDS system.

What information will I see from BD when the booking is claimed?

  • Names (group and individual)
  • air segments
  • SSR’s
  • OSI’s
  • free format remarks

The Galileo System entries to do this are:

C/ZZ*ABCDEF – Retrieve PNR from carrier ZZ using locator ABCDEF

C/ZZ*ZZ/1234/17JUNCDG-WILLIAMS – Retrieve PNR from carrier ZZ using flight number 1234 date, board point and passengers name.

Claim the PNR by entering:

The following secured PNRS are not eligible for claim:

  • individual PNRs – bmi allows only group PNRs to be claimed
  • PNRs belonging to any travel agency
  • PNRs created by another airline
  • PNRs containing flown segments
  • Past date PNRs
  • PNRs with no air space
  • PTAs
  • PNRs already ticketed or with prior ticketing arrangement
  • PNRs with dual classes of service - E.G. FN/YN/QN etc.
