About bmi

bmi is the second largest airline at London Heathrow, one of the world's busiest and best-connected international airports. From our Heathrow hub we operate services in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.

bmi's global reach is further extended by being a member of Star Alliance, a grouping of airlines offering customers a worldwide network and a smooth integrated travel experience.

How the business is split

The bmi group is made up of three business units:

  • bmi, Heathrow's second-largest airline, operating services from its main hub at London Heathrow within the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa
  • bmi Regional, the UK's most punctual airline, operates an all-jet fleet from regional airports including Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and East Midlands to destinations throughout the UK and Europe. All schedule services operate with a range of business and economy fares with schedules designed to suit the business traveller
  • bmibaby, the UK's fastest growing low-cost airline, operating services within the UK and Europe.  bmibaby operates as a separate airline.  For more information about bmibaby, visit www.bmibaby.com
