Courier Operations Bulletin
To ensure the highest operational standards are met bmi wish to emphasis that courier shipments should be presented as ‘ READY FOR CARRIAGE’.
The following instructions should help to ensure there are no delays at reception and shipments are not unnecessarily mislaid or delayed at destinations:
• The bmi courier air waybill should be completed correctly. In particular the consignee and shipper addresses, phone numbers and the number of pieces and weights must be accurately shown.
• A correct bmi ‘DESTINATION LABEL’ is attached to EACH piece showing air waybill number, flight number and date. Labels are available from bmi at cargo.admin@flybmi.com.
• Please remember that courier shipments should be packed in such a way as not to cause injury to staff or damage to aircraft and be suitably packed for airfreight. Single pieces should also not exceed the maximum stipulated weights and the maximim size per piece is limited to 84 cms on any one side.
By adhering to these measures you can help the bmi team handle your consignments in an efficient and timely manner.
Remember flight departure and arrival times are available within Issue 34 of the cargo guide.
