online changes and updates to your booking

You can change the date and/or time of your flight, update your details and cancel your booking online.

Simply go to ‘manage your booking’ and enter your six character bmi booking reference and surname. Your booking details will be displayed and you will be able to make changes to your booking online.

you can change the date and/or time of your flight if:

  • you have an e-ticket
  • the booking was made via flybmi.com and has not been previously changed through our call centre
  • travel is point to point and wholly on bmi operated short haul routes (domestic and european)
  • no part of your journey has been flown (except domestic flights when it is possible to change partially flown journeys)
  • changes to the itinerary are the same for all passengers (individual changes to a booking must be made by contacting our call centre)

you can update the following information for any bmi booking:

  • cancel your entire booking
  • update your contact details
  • add your frequent flyer details
  • update catering and seat selection (where applicable)
  • enter passport and advance passenger information (long haul flights to the USA and Canada)

please note:

  • if special needs have been requested such as wheelchair assistance, bassinets, special baggage requests, these will need to be rearranged with our call centre
  • seat and meal requests for your original flight, where applicable, will need to be reselected when you change your booking
  • any changes to your booking are subject to the fare rules and conditions of your ticket
  • where a change fee applies, the fee for all ‘tiny’ fares is £80 or €120 per person, per sector; the change fee for other fares is £30 or €45 per person, per sector except Dublin which is £25 or €35.
  • if the original fare paid is not available, the booking may be subject to an upgrade fee to the next fare level
  • no name changes are permitted
  • refunds will be processed for cancelled bookings, dependent on ticket conditions
  • in accordance with the Airline Passenger Service Commitment, you may cancel your booking within 24 hours of creation of the ticket and receive a full refund of monies paid (excluding tiny fares)
