what are the basic requirements?

  • our minimum age is 18. There is no maximum age limit although the mandatory retirement age is 65
  • qualifications: minimum 4 GCSE's at grade A-C including English & Maths or the equivalent (NVQ level 2 / grade 1 CSE only). Certificates must be presented at interview or before employment
  • applicants must hold a 10 year British or European passport before employment OR have the indefinite right to work in the UK in your own right as well as any relevant visas. Copies of passport stamps should be included with applications from non-European passport holders
  • a minimum of 12 months experience in a customer facing role
  • a good standard of fluency in the English language, spoken and written
  • second language is desirable: e.g. European, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Russian
  • immaculate appearance

how are people selected?

First we'll assess your application. Then you'll be invited to attend a recruitment event which takes place at your chosen base. The recruitment selection day consists of a numeracy test, general knowledge test, company test and some group activities and this lasts approximately three hours. If successful, candidates will be asked to attend an interview to discuss their skills and experience further.

The assessment and interviews are conducted by members of our customer services management team.

what hours do customer service agents work?

You'll work an average week of 37.5 hours (full time) but part time contracts are also available. They all consist of shift work on a rota basis. The roster is a mixture of early morning starts and late evening finishes.

which qualities are required?

We look for people whose strengths and qualities match ours, who are approachable, have personal skills such as team-working ability, initiative, adaptability and are able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. Additionally, we look for individuals who can deliver excellent customer service whilst meeting our values of speed with charm and style and remain calm under pressure.


what are the career prospects?

New entrants join as a customer service agent, moving into senior positions within the customer service department such as lead agent, supervisor and manager. Promotion is based on merit and subject to vacancies. Some posts require a minimum service.
Outside of customer service, there are other opportunities within operations, marketing, cabin services or any other departments. All vacancies are advertised internally.
