World / Europe / Germany / Berlin

Berlin is a fascinating and historic city that’s most famous for the rise and fall of its imposing Berlin Wall, erected in 1961 to divide East and West Germany. 1990 saw the reunification of the country and so the wall was torn down in celebration, providing freedom for the East Germans and the liberation of a country heavy with historic and political unrest. The unofficial capital of cool, its laid-back vibe has enticed the movers and shakers – the cream of young music, art and fashion talent is based here, creating an exciting feel with all-night cafes, bars and clubs. It really is a city that never sleeps! Discover the buzz of Berlin for yourself and experience a city that’s undergoing its own revolution.
