Self Check-in information
Our Self Check-in Machines are now even better. New software ensures that there are more options to retrieve your booking (including your online booking reference and your passport). There are some really helpful features such as checking in a friend if you are flying Business or Economy Flexible on the same booking and want to sit together but arrive at the airport at different times.
Look out for "Emma" - bmi's Self Check-in host, who will appear on screen and guide you through the process.
Self Check-in Machines are available to use by all passengers, and are now at most airports served by bmi within the UK and Ireland. If you are travelling on an Economy or Economy Saver fare on shorthaul routes, you must use the Self Check-in Machines at airports where they are available.
Self Check-in is available whether you are travelling on an E-ticket or an ATB cardboard ticket. If you are travelling on an Economy or Economy Saver fare on our shorthaul services, you must use the Self Check-in Machines where available or alternatively Check-in Online. However, if you are travelling in Business or Economy Flexible, or are a Gold or Silver Diamond Club member* you have the option of using the manned Check-in Desks to check-in for your flight.
*If you are a Silver Diamond Club member and hold an Economy Saver or sale ticket, you must use the Self Check-in Machines where available.
