About 'Manage my booking'

Our Manage my booking facility enables you to view individual flight bookings that contain a bmi (BD) flight number, regardless of how the booking was made.  You can check your itinerary at anytime as well access travel information relevant to your booking.

To view your booking simply enter:

  • Your booking reference (6 digit reference number)
  • Your surname.

When your booking is retrieved you can:

  • View your travel itinerary right up until when you depart for each flight
  • View details of your seat and meal preferences, and change your preferences where applicable
  • Update your booking contact details
  • Add your frequent flyer number to ensure collection of miles
  • Book and pay for special items of baggage such as golf clubs or skis
  • Provide advance passenger information for flights to the USA and Spain
  • Email your itinerary to a colleague
  • Check in online when the facility is ‘open' and print boarding pass on most routes
  • Access partner offers specific to your journey
  • Change your flights or cancel your booking and apply for refunds (subject to ticket conditions).

Please note that if your booking has been made through a travel agent or our groups department, you can view your booking only - you will not be able to make changes or update your details - please contact your agent.

Making changes to your booking online

Depending on the conditions of your ticket, you can change the date or time of your flight via Manage my booking, subject to the following:

  • Your ticket is an eticket
  • The booking was made online at flybmi.com and has not previously been changed through our call centre
  • Travel is point to point and wholly on bmi operated UK domestic and Western European routes (some exceptions apply to promotional return fares)
  • No part of your journey has been flown (except flights when it is possible to change partially flown journeys)
  • Changes to the itinerary are the same for all passengers (individual changes to a booking must be made by contacting our call centre)
  • Your booking is for no more than 9 passengers (group booking).

If you make a change to your booking you will also be emailed confirmation of the changes you have made.

Other things to note about changing your booking

  • If you change your booking online please ensure any special requests such as wheelchair assistance, bassinets or special baggage requests are rearranged with our call centre
  • Seat and meal requests for your original flight, where applicable, will need to be reselected at the same time you change your booking itinerary
  • Any changes to your booking are subject to the fare rules and conditions of your ticket
  • Where a change fee applies, for all ‘Sale' or ‘Economy Saver' fares the change fee is £80 or €120 per person, per sector; the change fee for other fares is £30 or €45 per person, per sector except Dublin which is £25 or €35
  • If the original fare paid is not available, the booking may be subject to an upgrade fee to the next fare level
  • No name changes are permitted
  • In accordance with the Airline Passenger Service Commitment, you may cancel your booking within 24 hours of creation of the ticket and receive a full refund of all monies paid (excluding Sale and Economy Saver fares on UK Domestic, Western European routes)
  • Fully flexible tickets have the option to be refunded in the form of an evoucher to be redeemed against your next flight
  • Refunds for cancelled flights will be processed and refunded subject to your ticket conditions and applicable admin fee - for more information about cancellations and refunds please see booking terms and conditions.
