Once you've earned 16,000 membership status miles your membership will be upgraded to Silver. Silver status comes with some great additional benefits to Blue status and you’ll also be able to take advantage of some great Star Alliance Silver benefits as detailed below:

Once you earn 16,000 status miles you automatically receive Silver membership. You'll then notice your account is reset to zero miles, and your new membership year begins. You have 12 months to retain your Silver status by earning 16,000 status miles or you can work your way to Gold status by earning 38,000 status miles.
