Free upgrades

Your four complimentary flight upgrade vouchers - now bookable in advance.

As a Diamond Club Gold member you receive four complimentary upgrade vouchers to use on bmi operated flights*. Your upgrades can be booked and confirmed seven days in advance of departure, however, normal meal ordering times will still apply. A special meal will need to be requested 48 hours in advance of departure.

The table below shows the number of vouchers you'll need to use to upgrade your seat to the next cabin. To use your complimentary upgrade vouchers, contact the Diamond Club call centre on 0845 608 7788.

1. Upon renewal of Gold membership status or upon achievement of Gold membership status, four complimentary upgrades will be credited to the members account
2. Voucher can only be used by Gold card members and one companion travelling with the member on the same flight. An additional voucher is required for companion upgrades
3. No complimentary upgrades from the previous membership year will be carried over to the following membership year. A Gold member's account will only ever show the maximum of four vouchers
4. A complimentary upgrade can be requested a maximum of seven days in advance of the members flight
5. Complimentary upgrade vouchers are valid on bmi operated flights excluding codeshare flights on any fare type including redemption bookings
6. Complimentary upgrades can only be processed by contacting the Diamond Club call centre
7. Requests to use complimentary upgrades are subject to availability
