Flights to St Louis arrive at Lambert-St Louis Airport, situated 10 miles northwest of the city centre. MetroLink ($3.50), St Louis' light rail system, connects the airport with downtown with trains running every 10 minutes, and journey time of 37 minutes. Taxis ($32) are readily available and journey time to downtown is 25 minutes.

Gateway Arch

The Gateway Arch: This 630 feet-tall stainless steel monument to western expansion was designed by the Finnish architect, Eero Saarinen, and completed in 1965. Take the four-minute tram ride to the top of the iconic structure to enjoy stunning panoramic views of both sides of the Mississippi.
