Flights to Newcastle touch down at Durham Tees Valley Airport, situated six miles east of Darlington on the A67. The Sky Express shuttle bus runs free services to Darlington train station, which operates regular services to Newcastle (£7). Taxis (£50) are readily available outside the arrivals terminal, and journey time to NewcastleGateshead city centre is 45 minutes.
