When travelling with bmi, or any other Star Alliance member airline, you can earn both membership status and destinations miles.
- Membership status miles are simply used to determine your level of membership e.g. Blue/Blue Plus/Silver/Gold.
- Destinations miles are the ones you can spend on rewards for yourself e.g. flights
Just quote your membership number when you make your booking and then show your card when you check-in. When flying, please remember to show your card on both your outbound and return journey. We'll then credit the miles to your Diamond Club account.
There are various partners you can earn miles with which is detailed below and seperated into three sections. Details of who our partners are can be found in the link at the bottom of this page.
The amount of miles you earn will depend on the product or service you are buying, for instance:
- Flights on partner airlines - the distance, class of fare and airline will all affect the type and how many miles you will be awarded. Bearing in mind Diamond Club is the UK's most generous frequent flyer programme
- Accommodation booked via flybmi.com - earn 250 - 1000 destinations miles a night depending on star rating. An extra 1000 destinations miles a night (up to a maximum of 3000 miles) can be awarded if a partner hotel is booked
- Car rental booked with Hertz - 500/1500 destinations miles will be awarded when corporate/non corporate contract rates are booked respectively. An extra 200 miles are awarded for bookings made through flybmi.com
- Car parking with NCP through flybmi.com - 10 destinations miles can be awarded for each pound spent.
- Spending on the bmi credit card - 1.5/3 destinations miles are awarded per £1 of general spend and per £1 spent on flights booked at flybmi.com respectively
